I was born at Orange Memorial Hospital now known as ORMC, but raised in Apopka, FL

High School: Apopka my Senior Class '84

High School Football Coach was Chip Gierke

Chip Gierke during his tenure at Apopka High School he produced three 1st Round Draft Picks out of Apopka High. Myself Aaron Jones who was the first 1st Round Draft Pick to come out of Apopka High, then to follow was Sammy Smith and Warren Sapp. Honors I received in High School were five defensive player of the week and I was the Defensive Player of the year. I went on to play in the Senior High School All-star game.

College: Eastern Kentucky University '84 -'88

Honors I received in college was Eastern Kentucky Defensive player of the year also Ohio Valley Conference Co - Defensive Player of the year. Kodak All American and Walter Camp All American. First Team All OVC. Drafted by Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1st Round of the '88 Draft the 18th overall pick as a Defensive End (DE).

I played 5 years in Pittsburgh under Chuck Knoll for 4 years and Bill Cowher 1 year. Mean Joe Greene was my Defensive Line Coach; Tony Dungy was our Defense of Coordinator.

After my 5th year After my 5th year in Pittsburgh I became a Free Agent and Bill Parcel's was interested in me since college.

So I signed with the Patriots in '93 and played for Parcels for 3 years before moving onto the Miami Dolphins in '96 under Coach Jimmy Johnson for one year before suffering a knee injury and decided to retire after 9 long years. I enjoyed my time in the NFL, which I learned a lot from some of the Top NFL coaches and their staffs.

Since I retired I've started a Commercial HVAC Company - Air Conditioning, which is called Gold Mechanical Services, Inc.

I am the President and Commissioner of South Central Athletic Association, which are a Pop Warner Football and Cheer Organization.

About The Vice-President Coach Lorenzo Wood

Coach VP Lorenzo Wood

Born and raised in Apopka, FL

Graduated From Apopka High School in 1989.

Lo Wood received a full scholarship to North Eastern Oklahoma A&M University. Lo Wood was an conference wide receiver and regional champ in the 110 Meter High Hurdles at North Eastern Oklahoma A&M University. Due to a leg injury Lo Wood did not advance to professional football in the NFL. Deciding to continue working in the sports industry, Lo Wood embarked on a career helping shape the athletic future of aspiring young athletes.

In order to help youth realize their potential and athletic dreams Lo Wood built his resume and experiencing by participating in various coaching and leadership opportunities. Lo Wood would gain many accolades for exceptional coaching leadership such as becoming the 2003 National Pop Warner champions at Disney's Wide World of Sports defeating Oak Grove California Razorbacks 26-0. Additionally, USA Track & Field (USATF) winner and assisting Dr. Phillips Football & Track Teams become metropolitan and district champions. Coach Wood also coached the Florida Elite Track Club from 2000-2004 in the track and field National Championship while winning over 50 medals.
